Carbide end mill 6 R-0.5 Z-4 VHM 45 HRC is a solid carbide torus cutter (VHM) for machining structural and alloy steels, austenitic stainless steels and cast iron with hardness up to 45 HRC. The R-0.5 corner radius strengthens the cutting edge, reduces stress concentrations and minimizes the risk of chipping when working continuously or with fine interruptions.
The Z-4 configuration provides four effective blades, which promotes even force distribution and a stable milling process. The torus geometry makes it easy to machine pockets, grooves and leading edges, as well as maintain tolerances on pocket bottoms. The cutter works well in roughing and semi-finishing operations on CNC centers, where dimensional repeatability and predictable chip shape are important.
