The professional turning tool straight 40x40 NNZa, which complies with the dimensional standard ISO 1. It is a right-handed straight knife made of special SW18 high-speed steel. It is a tungsten steel distinguished by increased hardness and durability. Straight turning knives made of this tool steel are suitable for machining materials with strengths above 800 MPa. They retain their shape and hardness up to 600 degrees C. They are resistant to various mechanical damages (fractures, cracks) and also resistant to abrasion. Thanks to the high technical advantages of SW18 steel, lathe knives are suitable for machining hard carbon (unalloyed) steels, metals, copper, aluminum, brass, bronze and heat-hardened plastics. The lathe knives are recommended for various types of conventional machine tools and modern CNC (computerized numerical control) machines.
