M12 HSS-G combination drill tap – a professional tool for tapping steel structures
M12 combination drill tap is a high-performance combination tool made of HSS-G steel that drills a hole with a diameter of 10.2 mm and cuts an M12 metric thread in one pass. The 2-in-1 technology reduces machining time by 50 percent and increases productivity in production workshops. Designed for CNC toolrooms, maintenance workshops, and departments responsible for assembling large structures.
Key benefits of the M12 combination drill tap
- Maximum efficiency in structural component production – eliminating the need for tool changes between drilling and tapping reduces job completion time in CNC toolrooms and maintenance workshops
- Precision in producing class 6H threads – HSS-G high-speed steel guarantees the accuracy required for assembling structural frames, repairing heavy machinery, and manufacturing industrial equipment
- Reliability in machining structural materials – performs well in steels up to 900 N/mm², aluminum, and brass; using coolant extends tool life
- Universal straight shank with square drive – fully compatible with tapping chucks, stationary drills, and CNC machines
- Strength under intensive use – HSS-G steel with enhanced wear resistance retains its sharpness through repeated tapping cycles
This M12 combination drill tap is used by more than 380 maintenance departments in the machinery industry for its process repeatability and durability. M12 combination drill tap is used in steel structure assembly, production of components with larger cross sections, and industrial machine repairs. Frequently asked questions
This tool is designed for machining structural steels with a maximum tensile strength of 900 N/mm², as well as aluminum and brass. Use in stainless and hardened steels exceeding 45 HRC is not recommended.
Maintain spindle speeds between 200 and 350 rpm and always use coolant when machining steel. Make sure the workpiece is securely clamped and chips are regularly removed from the flutes.
This complete combination tool does not require hole preparation before tapping. Only spot drilling to a depth of 2-3 mm is recommended for stable guidance.
