Tooling R1/2 tapered in inch
R1/2 tap ered round machine tool is a multi-cutting tool for cutting external threads. This is a uniform tool, which means that it makes a thread in one pass, and after less than 2 turns, or more precisely 1.75 P, a full thread in 6g tolerance is already made. The principle of the tool is to screw it on (like a nut on a bolt), during which the blades of the tool cut the thread. The tool is made of high-quality SW7M high-speed steel from the HSS family. It is possible to use the dies both in manual and machine processing. An important issue when making threads by hand is the use of burnishing holders, thanks to which the proper execution of the thread is ensured and damage to the burnisher can be avoided. R1/2 inch tapered dies have chip holes that are designed to drain the cut material, depending on the size of the dies, they can be usually from 3-6 holes. In the working part of the burnisher, there are cutting parts (exist on both parts of the working part) and a guiding part located in the center of the working part.
