Drill 10,3 mm HSS. Modern cylindrical drill made according to the dimensional standard , DIN 338 designed for drilling through-holes and blind holes in very hard and hard-to-machine materials. Drills of this type are produced from special HSS high-speed steel, which is recommended for machining unalloyed (carbon) steel, metals, non-ferrous metals and plastics. The advantages of high-speed steel are reflected primarily in a significant increase in machining efficiency, improvement of its accuracy, as well as increased resistance to harsh working conditions. The drill blades are resistant to fracture, cracking, chipping and dulling. They are also resistant to high-speed machining, during which high temperatures are generated (up to 600 degrees C).
