Professional 20×20 mm indexable turning tool for an RCMT insert
Turning tool SRACL 20x20 K10 is a professional turning tool designed for external turning on conventional and CNC lathes. The shank with a 20×20 mm cross section and a length of mm provides the rigidity required for industrial machining. The geometry with a 90° entering angle enables facing and longitudinal turning along a shoulder.
The central screw clamping system (S) ensures the highest cutting edge positioning repeatability and easy replacement of the RCMT 1004rr insert. The positive geometry of the round insert with a continuous cutting edge is well suited to finishing, ensuring low cutting forces and a smooth machined surface. The tool is compatible with RCMT 10 inserts in various carbide grades — select the grade to match the workpiece material.

Instructions for the center screw clamping system (S)
Insert replacement procedure step by step
1 Unscrew the screw
Unscrew the center screw 2-3 turns
2 Clean the insert seat
Remove chips and debris
3 Install the insert
Position in the seat
4 Tighten the screw
Torque 1.5–2.5 Nm
Important: Do not exceed the recommended tightening torque — this may damage the thread in the seat or crack the insert.
Checks before starting work:

Note: Use coolant during machining — it extends insert life and improves surface finish. When machining without coolant, reduce the cutting parameters by 20–30%.
