Drills of this type are manufactured according to the dimensional standard , DIN 338 from modern HSS high-speed steel. It is a steel characterized by high cutting properties, even in very hard materials such as unalloyed steels, metals, non-ferrous metals, metal alloys, plastics. The drills are resistant to mechanical damage caused by drilling at high speeds and high temperatures (up to 600 degrees). The properties of HSS also affect the possibility of high-performance and highly accurate drilling. They are suitable for all drilling work in large locksmith shops, using conventional drills, lathes, milling machines and even computer numerical control machine tools - CNC.
