M48x3 fine thread hand taps
Hand tapsM48x3 fine-coil HSS - a high-end set of hand taps designed for cutting threads in through-holes and blind holes. M48x3 hand taps are used for making metric, fine threads, ISO DIN 13, with an angle of 60 degrees. The set includes: a right-hand threader with an 8P nut and a finishing threader with a 2P nut, and the threading process is carried out manually in two passes.
The total allowance of the material to be cut is divided between the two threaders. They are manufactured from modern HSS high-speed steel in accordance with DIN 2181. The properties of this steel guarantee a very high level of resistance to blade breakage during threading (breaking, cracking, blunting, chipping) and, at the same time, high precision machining. The tolerance field of the threads made is ISO 2/6H. The high cutting properties of M48x3 hand taps allow machining of materials falling into the category P1.2-P1.3, including, among others, ordinary steels, carbon steels (unalloyed), metals, non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminum), metal alloys (bronze, brass), as well as hard plastics.
