Long 4 mm VHM carbide aluminum cutter
Carbide end mill long the 4 mm Z-3 VHM is a slender 4 mm diameter solid carbide (VHM) cutter with three cutting edges, optimized for high cutting speeds in aluminum alloys (2xxx, 5xxx, 6xxx, 7xxx series), as well as copper and brass. The long overhang facilitates access to deep pockets and narrow grooves, while the polished chip grooves and positive geometry reduce edge build-up and improve chip evacuation. In CNC applications carbide end mill aluminium it performs well in contouring, pocket machining and face finishing with controlled roughness.
The Z-3 configuration allows higher feeds per tooth than double-edged solutions while maintaining surface quality. The VHM execution ensures rigidity and edge durability, while the slender shank - with correct clamping and entry strategy - minimizes the risk of vibration. In practice, the Z-3 carbide cutter guarantees predictable chip shape and stable machining in non-ferrous materials.
