Clamping SYSTEM "C" - positive or negative geometry of the knives.
Interchangeable inserts single-sided (angle of application of the insert equal to 11°) or double-sided (angle of application of the insert equal to 0°), square and triangular, with a flat contact surface, clamped on the contact surface by means of a screw head that presses the insert through a chipbreaker made of tungsten carbide laid on it. Knives with "C" mounted inserts are used for roughing (negative geometry) and finishing (positive geometry) of external surfaces and holes (positive geometry).
The "C" system is characterized by easy insert change and good repeatability of the blade position. The superimposed chipbreaker makes clamping more difficult, but gives the possibility to adjust the position of the chipbreaker edge.
