Die UNEF 1/4-32 HSS – small inch die with the finest pitch
UNEF 1/4-32 die is a specialized tool for cutting external threads with an extra fine pitch to the American Extra Fine standard. Made of high-speed steel (HSS) in accordance with DIN 22568, it cuts threads with a diameter of 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) and a pitch of 32 threads per inch – one of the finest in the UNEF system.

UNEF represents the finest threads in the Unified system. UNC is coarse, UNF is fine, and UNEF is extra fine. For a diameter of 1/4 inch: UNC has 20 TPI, UNF has 28 TPI, and UNEF offers as many as 32 TPI.
