This is turning tool chiseling, size 2525-8 made entirely of modern high speed steel SW18. It is a steel with increased hardness and durability, as well as higher resistance to abrasion when exposed to high temperatures reaching up to 600 degrees. SW18 steel turning knives are suitable for machining carbon steels, metals, nonferrous metals, metal alloys and thermoset plastics. Their advantage is increased resistance to harsh working conditions, resistance of the blades to any mechanical damage (fractures, cracks, chipping), resulting in a significant extension of the service life.
