A modern turning tool toolholder 12x6x160 rectangular section 12 mm x 6 mm and 160 mm in length, made entirely of high-alloyed HSS (High Speed Steel). This is a lathe knife - a semi-finished product that requires proper shaping. From the offered semi-finished product - nib - it is possible to make radial knives, delineators, rippers, chisels, as well as shaped knives of unusual shapes. The knives are distinguished by increased resistance to severe cutting conditions, including high temperature. The knives are characterized by increased hardness and durability. They are suitable for cutting unalloyed steels, nonferrous metals, copper and aluminum, as well as thermosetting plastics. Their advantage is also resistance to any mechanical damage, which significantly extends the life of the knives and affects the possibility of reducing the overall cost of machining.
