This is a nib - a semi-finished product, which before use requires appropriate grinding - in order to obtain the required shape. The holder knives we offer can be used to make shape knives, radius knives, delineators, rippers and chisels. These knives have all surfaces ground and on both faces pre-slanted application surfaces at an angle of 8 degrees. The subject turning toolholder knives are made of high-grade HSS (High Speed Steel). It is a steel characterized by increased strength for heavy cutting conditions, as well as increased wear resistance. The knives can be used for machining hard materials even at high speed, under high temperature - up to 600 degrees C.
