The315 3-jaw lathe chuck is made of high quality cast iron. Due to the cast iron construction, the 3-jaw chuck has high vibration damping ability, good fatigue strength and improved corrosion resistance.
The 315 lathe chuck is used to connect the workpiece to a CNC machine tool, lathe or milling machine. The advantage of 3-jaw self-clamping chucks is strong and very stable immobilization of the workpiece. The chuck gives the workpiece a well-defined position in relation to the lathe knife, gives turn and direction. Thanks to the stable immobilization of the workpiece, it is possible to achieve high cutting parameters of the workpiece, for example, low roughness. The offered lathe chuck 315 has ground and hardened surfaces, which further increases the contact surfaces of the jaws with the workpiece.
The 3-jaw self-centering chuck is used for workpieces with regular shapes (cube, cylinder). The advantage of 315 mm self-centering lathe ch ucks is that the jaws descend in the direction of the workpiece evenly and, similarly, the jaws spread in the opposite direction evenly. The jaws of the chuck are interchangeable and it is possible to replace the jaws independently. Along with the 3-jaw screw chuck, the set includes uniform inner jaws as well as uniform outer jaws. With two types of jaws, the functionality of the chuck is greatly expanded. You can place a larger number of workpieces of various dimensions in the 315 lathe chuck. The inner hard uniform jaws have a gripping surface on both the inside and outside. The outer hard uniform jaws have a gripping surface on the inner side. Replacing the jaws from inner to outer is easy to do, but follow the jaw and groove markings as they are accurately numbered. The chuck also comes with a socket wrench and chuck mounting screws.
The possibility of using split jaws, including base lower jaws that can be used for hard upper jaws or soft upper jaws. This increases the chuck's capability, and reduces production costs.
