Die M20 for manual and machine threading
High-quality M20 x2,5 HSS threading dies, metric, NHMa type, for cutting threads with a nominal diameter of 20 mm. It is suitable for external, metric ordinary threads. Complete notching of M20 threads is done in just one pass, after less than two coils - 1.75P nut. Our die are dedicated to both small locksmith workshops and large manufacturing plants. They can be used for manual and machine threading. The die in question are manufactured from special high-alloy HSS high speed steel. This is a modern tool steel characterized by enhanced cutting capabilities. Thanks to these qualities, tools made from it are highly valued by factories carrying out multi-series production. They are suitable for cutting metric ordinary threads with a nominal diameter of M 20. The pitch of the thread P is 2.5 mm, the outer diameter d2 is 45 mm and the thickness h1 - 18 mm. Die has 5 chip holes, and the required diameter of the shaft is 19.79 mm. Chip holes allow for quick and efficient removal of excess cut material, which contributes to greater efficiency die.
For proper use of die, we need a threading toolholder - in the case of manual threading or a lathe threading toolholder. The process of threading the M20 male thread itself is very simple and in one pass. After about two full turns, we reverse the dies to break the chip and continue to screw the dies onto the bar. The action of breaking the chip is repeated, depending on the resistance of the threading process.
