Die M16 for manual and machine threading
Modern M16 x2 HSS threading dies, metric, NHMa type, with a nominal diameter of M16, made in accordance with the dimensional standard DIN 22568. It is a Polish product, characterized by high quality workmanship. Die M16 is suitable for manual and machine threading. The tolerance class is 6g, and the complete execution of the thread takes place in the first pass die. Die metric threads on offer in our store are suitable for amateur and industrial machining. They are manufactured from high-grade HSS (High Speed Steel). This is a tool steel characterized by increased cutting parameters. First of all, die HSS are harder and more durable, and more resistant to harsh cutting conditions. They also exhibit greater hardness and durability. They can be used for machining materials of grade P1.2 - P1.3. These are unalloyed steels (carbon steels), automatic steels, metals, non-ferrous metals, brass, bronze and others.
High-quality circular thread cutter designed for cutting ordinary metric threads of M16 diameter. This is a chisel made in accordance with the dimensional standard DIN 22 568 recommended for fine and high-performance cutting.
The pitch of the cut thread is 2 mm, the outer diameter d2 is 45 mm, and the thickness h1 is 18 mm. The number of chip holes - 5, and the required diameter of the shaft is 15.82 mm.
For proper use of die we need a toolholder for dies - in the case of manual threading or a lathe toolholder for dies. The process of threading the M16 external thread itself is very simple. We screw our M16 thread cutter clockwise onto the rod, and after about two full turns, we reverse the thread cutter to break the chip and further screw the thread cutter onto the rod. The activity of breaking the chip is repeated, depending on the resistance of the threading process.
